Please note

Our guest rooms are situated to one side of our beer garden. We are a popular village pub and on warm evenings there will be adults sitting around drinking and eating and being sociable within hearing range.

We close the garden at 10.30pm but there might be a bit of noise as customers return to their cars at closing time. This doesn’t concern most of our guests as they come to join in or have other things to do in the evenings but we realise that some people will be tired and want to retire early.

This is not such an issue on colder and wetter nights. We can’t always offer peace and tranquillity but we can offer complementary ear plugs.

We just want you to be aware.

Childen and Pets

Room 4 is our family room and the only room we allow a dog to stay in.

We have a children’s menu and dog treats on the bar. We welcome children and pets in the bar with the proviso that the adults of the family keep them both under control for their own sake.

We are unapologetically an adult environment and there are attendant dangers like hot wood burners and fire pits, stairs, cars in the car park, an albeit quiet road at the front of the pub etc., etc. Please be vigilant.

Bikes and Guns

We have a large car park at the rear of the pub, a covered self-contained area to store your bicycles overnight, and a gun cabinet in the office should you need to secure your guns at any time during your stay.

“The room was beautiful and very clean. Food was lovely and well priced. Paul and all the staff were brilliant and couldn’t do enough to help. It was a wonderful break away, great value for money.

We will definitely be returning. Thank you to all the team for making it a special stay.”
